The production, directed by Kevin Muster, marks the department’s first live performance since Spring 2022’s “All of Us” and promises to deliver a whimsical and thought-provoking exploration of language, love and the absurdities of life.
Performances will be held at the Butte College Black Box Theater from Thursday, October 24, to Sunday, October 27. Show times are as follows:
Thursday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m.
Friday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m.

“All in the Timing” is a witty and sharp collection of one-act plays that blends humor with insightful commentary on human communication and relationships. The show features six unique plays, including “Sure Thing,” “Words, Words, Words,” “The Universal Language,” “Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread,” “The Philadelphia” and “Variations on the Death of Trotsky.” Each piece offers a distinct look at human interactions, ranging from conversations in a café to monkeys contemplating Shakespeare and from language lessons in a made-up tongue to a parody of Russian history.
The cast includes talented Butte College students, with lighting design by Mike Johnson, scenic design by Kevin Muster, and stage management by Hayden Clements.
Director Kevin Muster expressed his excitement about bringing this production to the stage: “We are happy to bring these delightfully wacky comedies to the stage this semester.”
